Hi everyone,
I’d like to warmly invite
you to a Christmas exploration of “The Deep Dao of Taiji” on December 29th.
Sign up here
The first weekend course was a rich exploration of the interplay
between form and no form, and we did practices which highlighted some of the fundamental principles in Taiji which can be challenging to grasp.
Taijiquan is a rich practice and an unending challenge. Part of what makes it so is that the practice is partly about creating structural adaptations in our body and being through
applying our attention in specific ways internally. The depths we can plumb through applying “song” (softening) correctly are incredible, and the transformations we go through on this journey have real impacts in the way we relate to life. The work I have developed through Daomove is deeply informed by Taiji, and is a method for how to apply these insights directly to our own lives.
How do we lead lives where we don’t have to effort to do things?
How do we embody the elusive, counter-intuitive principle of non-action in our lives? In our relationships?
Tricky to say the least. Yet it is profoundly simple once we grasp the internal navigational tools which let us discern where to go, how to move. Simple but not necessarily easy either.
On December 29th, in this brief interval
between Christmas and the beginning of 2024, I am facilitating a one-day intensive of "The Deep Dao of Taiji”. The event will be held in the spirit of transition into the new year, and is an opportunity to enter 2024 with a renewed connection to yourself and life.
